Occupational Health and Safety Policy      revised December 1, 2013      

Note: Free Geek Toronto will be moving to 180 Sudbury Street, Toronto, ON M6J 0A8 as of January 15, 2014. This policy will also apply to that new location as well as our current location at 51 Vine Avenue, Unit B, Toronto, ON M6P 1V6

CyberEquality Inc., a federally registered non profit social enterprise, which is also known by the name, FREE GEEK TORONTO, has created this Occupational Health and Safety Policy because both the Board of Directors and the Operational Management agree and hold paramount the health and safety of all employees, volunteers and visitors.

We shall:

Strive to protect everyone who attends at our business sites from injury by utilizing best practices with regards to industrial health and safety;

Strive to prevent occupational disease for our workers by paying constant attention to the environment and workplace practices we provide and require;

Reinforce with all supervisors, staff, volunteers and visitors that everyone must be dedicated to the continuing objective of reducing the risk of injury by remaining alert to potential workplace hazards and informing management appropriately.

All supervisory or coordinating personnel shall be held accountable for the health and safety of workers and volunteers under their supervision or direction. This includes the duty to ensure that all machinery and equipment are safe to use, and that all work is performed in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures.

Every worker is expected to perform their tasks in such a way as to protect their own personal health and safety, and to comply with the law and any safe work practices or procedures established by the employer.

The Board of CyberEquality Inc./Free Geek Toronto hereby gives its commitment to ensure full compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
